Here is a CD produced by two fellows
from Great Britian - Robert Ixer and Paul Duller - that does a fabulous
job of detailing numerous minerals in polished section with photos in reflected
light. Many of the worlds most famous ore deposits such as the fabulous
mines in Cornwall or the Bushveld in South Africa have their ores analyzed
at the microscopic level to reveal the relationship of minerals to each
other and their host rock(s).
In all ore minerals can be searched
and stratified using the following categories.
